Shayne is our Senior Naval Architect here at SOS, and a graduate of the Australian Maritime College with a Bachelor of Engineering in Naval Architecture (Honours) in 2013 and has since augmented his education with certifications in ship safety and occupational health and safety, underscoring his steadfast dedication to excellence and ongoing development.
His exceptional proficiency in Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, and Project Management is evidenced by his knack for navigating complex scenarios and academic achievements. Shayne consistently delivers innovative solutions, employing advanced methodologies like Finite Element Analysis to optimise designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. In his role as assistant project manager, he exhibits outstanding leadership, ensuring seamless project delivery within established budgets and deadlines.

Two years at Oceantech in Adelaide, where he specialised in designing small to medium aluminium vessels for commercial and recreational fishermen, conducting numerous inclining experiments across South Australia.
Seven years at Incat in Hobart, focusing on designing medium to large aluminium ferries. His responsibilities extended to yard support, emphasizing meticulous detail design to facilitate smooth construction processes.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Shayne values an active lifestyle, finding solace in activities such as water sports, bushwalking, mountain biking, and cherishing quality time with his family.
